Skin Clinic
TCM Dermatology
Skin disorders in their various forms are amongst the most common diseases suffered by mankind, accounting for no less than 1 in 5 of all visits to outpatient departments in the Western world. Despite this prevalence and the resources put into this field, many patients are dissatisfied with the conventional treatments available to them, and look elsewhere for solutions.
Chinese herbal medicine has a very real and enduring answer for a significant number of sufferers of many skin diseases. It can induce spectacular and lasting changes in a whole range of intractable conditions such as Eczema, Acne, Urticaria and Psoriasis, Asthma, Rosacea, Vitiligo, Alopecia and more.

Safe and Effective
Chinese herbal medicine, when professionally prescribed by a fully qualified practitioner, is both safe and effective.
It is generally very well tolerated. Side-effects are rare, tend to be transient, and are usually easily remedied by adjusting the prescription.
Chinese herbal medicine is effective in a wide range of ailments, but especially so with skin conditions.
Treatment Process
After your first consultation you will receive an individualised herbal prescription, which has been tailored to fit your condition. The prescription will be either in form of a powder which is taken as a draft, or “raw” herbal medicinals, which you will cook at home and drink the resulting decoction.
Your progress is monitored at regular intervals, often once monthly, and your prescription is adjusted as your condition changes.
How long does it take
Chronic, stubborn skin conditions can be slow to clear. Initially you should begin to see change and alleviation of some of the symptoms after 2-4 weeks of herbal medical treatment.
It is important to treat the condition until it is fully cleared in order to prevent recurrence. You should expect this to take anything between couple of months to even up to a year, depending on the condition.
