Yangsheng Medical Advice and Dietary Therapy are adjunct therapies employed in TCM, used alongside Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Medical Qigong as and when required. Yangsheng Medical or Lifestyle Advice focuses on life habits and conditions of the individual and identifies necessary adjustments to make in order to "Nurture Life". Dietary Therapy is a specialism within TCM and quite unlike any western, contemporary approximation. It involves careful monitoring of food and drink intake in order to eliminate disease and speed recovery.
Titta M Laattala is embarking on further professional study with a world known clinician Mazin Al-Khafazi, who is a leading expert in the field of TCM dermatology, and has treated unusual and difficult skin diseases with great success for the last 36 years. As part of her study, Titta will be able see a limited number of patients with skin disorders, particularly chronic disorders such as atopic eczema and psoriasis that prove so difficult to manage satisfactorily with biomedicine. Appointments will be available from late autumn 2025 through to summer 2026.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is made up of a number of different specialisms, such as Acupuncture-Moxibustion, Herbology, Medical dietetics and Therapeutic exercise. Of these various branches of TCM, Medical Qigong is at once the most ancient and most sophisticated.
Unlike all of the others, it dispenses with the “middle man” – for example acupuncture needles, herbals prescriptions, different food types, various exercises, and the like – and, instead, immediately and directly connects the Qi of the practitioner - with therapeutic intent - to that of the person being treated.
Titta M. Laattala is an experienced, fully qualified and fully insured practitioner of TCM Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Medical Qigong. She specialises in the treatment of serious medical conditions, and has a wide range of experience with different patients and conditions, from complex mental health conditions and "odd" complaints without obvious medical cause, to treating common sports injuries and other musculoskeletal problems.
Acupuncture is a part of an ancient and sophisticated medical system commonly known as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It can be used alone or combined with other treatment methods of TCM.
