Ingredients
- 3 bulbs garlic
- 1 large onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 4 cups water
- 1 large potato
- 3 bayleaves
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 6 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce
- Pinch cayenne pepper
Method
- Chop the garlic and onion and sauté together in the oil for about 20 minutes. Keep the heat low.
- Add the water, thyme, oregano, bayleaves and potato to the pot. Bring the soup to boil then simmer until the potato is cooked.
- Add tamari / soy sauce and a good sprinkle of cayenne pepper.
- Liquify in a blender or food processor or similar.
