The Professional Register of
Traditional Chinese Medicine
The Professional Register of Traditional Chinese Medicine (PRTCM) was established in 1983 to promote and protect the professional interests and medical standards of fully qualified practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and thereby to foster the highest available degree of health-care for the public.
Only fully qualified practitioners of Acupuncture TCM can become members of the Register. All members are bound by a code of ethics and code of practice which is strictly enforced by the council of the Register, thus offering a guarantee of confidence to any patient seeking treatment.
Insurance
The Register ensures that all members are fully covered by Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance, underwritten by Lloyds of London which covers medical practice throughout the whole of U.K, Republic of Ireland and surrounding islands.
PRTCM Website
The PRTCM website provides up-to-date information and contact details for the Register and its members. It also provides detailed information on Traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, other TCM treatment options and conditions that can be treated.
